A HUGE Thank You!

Happy Monday readers!  I received a great piece of mail today, my certificate of promotion to the title of Silver with Stampin' Up!

I want to give a BIG thank you to all of my team, hostesses, customers, and new friends I have met along the way that has helped me to achieve this accomplishment.  Without your support, I wouldn't have been able to achieve this!

This promotion is a big milestone for me as this was the title I held before we moved to Italy.  When we were there, I lost all of my titles and all of my team due to a military rule stating I could not run my home base business there.  When we returned, I attacked my business, networked my booty off, and promoted to where I was prior to moving, less than a year after our return to the States!

I look forward to seeing where my business takes me in the upcoming months and year.  Once again thank you to everyone and I can't wait to share my love of Stampin' Up and my creations with each and every one of you!

Southwest Stampers July Gathering

Happy Sunday!  This past week I attended the Southwest Stampers July gathering and had a great time!  We are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators located in and around Tucson.  It's always a blast when we get together as we swap projects, discuss business, and celebrate each others accomplishments.

This was my swap card I made for our gathering.  I used the Bike Ride stamp set.  I love the bold colors of the Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, and Bermuda Bay when they are paired together.  I used the Berry Burst Stampin' Write marker to color in the stamp for the dogs bandanna and stamped in in Crumb Cake ink.

Now is the best time to purchase these supplies and create your own projects during Stampin' Up's Bonus Days promotion!  For every purchase of $50 (before shipping and tax), you receive a $5 coupon code to shop with me in August!

Click above or any of the products below to shop now and place your order using July's Hostess Code of QTHRUZX2 to be entered in this month's Mystery Hostess drawing!  Entering the hostess code is a quick and easy way to be entered when you shop exclusively through me as your Stampin' Up Demonstrator!

Stampin' Up Display Stamper Audition

It's almost the weekend and I'm so very excited to share my projects for the Stampin' Up Display Stamper audition!  Two times a year Stampin' Up has their convention called On Stage, and they ask for Demonstrators to submit work to create projects with new supplies at the event.  I hope that you enjoy my projects as I put a lot of love and effort into these (of course like I always do for all my projects)!

The call was to create two 3D projects, three cards, and one scrapbook page.  Let's start with the 3D projects!

Since my style tends to shift towards bold colors, I love the color combination of Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, and Berry Burst.  This gift card bag can be used for any occasion to show your friends how special they are to you.

For this project, I used the Mini Treat Bag die and highlighted the Eastern Beauty stamp set with the Eastern Medallion coordinating framelits.  For the diamond, I used the Eclectic Layers framelits with the Fine Tip glue pen to adhere it. In the center I used one of my favorite new embellishments, the Silver Faceted Gems.

My next 3D project I wanted to highlight the Wooden Crate framelit.  I used the die with Very Vanilla card stock to create a crate and embossed it with the Woodlands Textured Embossing Folder.  I sponged it with Powder Pink ink and wrapped it in the Basic Washi Pack #3 blue washi tape, and stamped using the Label Me Pretty set in Calypso Coral and Basic Gray.

I love the new Tranquil Tulips hostess stamp set and stamped two tulips in Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral, one stem in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive, and the poppy is from the Oh So Eclectic set in Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral.

Creating scrapbook pages is something I rarely work in and creating this was a challenge for me but I think this turned out great!  My husband promoted to Major in the United States Air Force at the end of May and I knew I wanted to showcase the photo of our families plus the two Air Force members that were in the ceremony with him.

Next are the three cards I designed.  I used the Tranquil Tulips set again on this one make sure to create some dimension with Stampin' Dimensionals on the tulips.  While it doesn't show up well in the photo, I used Wink of Stella clear glitter brush on the tulip pop ups to give it a little glimmer.

This Bike Ride stamp set is one of my favorites from the new catalog and I was very excited to win this at the On Stage event in April!  I used Island Indigo to stamp the frame of the bike and Basic Gray for the wheels.  I cut them out using the Build a Bike framelits.  For the basket, I cut that out using the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and sponged it with So Saffron ink.

My last project to share took the longest to create but its my favorite one!  This card has a lot of elements to it.  I water colored the background using four colors: Fresh Fig, Rich Razzleberry, Berry Burst, and Rose Red (in that order from left to right).  The colors blend well from purple to red.

I used the Seasonal Layers dies and Colorful Seasons stamp set to create the sentiment, stamp and cut the flowers, and cut the branch.  The branch uses the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and the background is the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

Thank you for sticking around until the end to read all about my projects! I look forward to hearing if I made the cut as a Display Stamper and crossing my fingers to share my projects with other Demonstrators!

ICS Blog Hop - Introducing the 2017-2019 In Colors!

Happy Wednesday everyone! For all my USA readers I hope that you had a wonderful Independence Day!

This month I'm joining a new monthly blog hop with the ladies from Inspire, Create, and Share and the theme is to create projects using the new 2017-2019 Stampin' Up In Colors! I'm happy to join the group and I can't wait to see their amazing projects each month!

I LOVE these new colors with Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist being my two favorite!  They coordinate so well with our core colors and fill in perfectly where we needed them!  I say Stampin' Up hit a home run with these colors!

I was so happy with the way this card turned out that we used this project as a make and take during my Annual Catalog Bingo event!  This card looks great using any of the In Colors and you can even mix and match them.  I used Very Vanilla card stock and Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper to give it and bold, clean, and simple look.  The Eastern Beauty Bundle with the photopolymer stamps and coordinating frameliets are a greay way to show different design aspects with easy to use supplies!

Make sure to check out the next blog in the hop by stopping by Nicole Loe's blog by clicking the next button below!

The Happiest Place on Earth!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Last week my husband and I visited the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland in California for our 9 year wedding anniversary! We had not spent the last two anniversaries together because of military training and because I was visiting the States from Italy last year, so it was time for us to actually spend one together!

This was a trip I surprised him at Christmas time with.  We planned and spent three days at Disneyland and California Adventure riding rides, swimming, getting too much sun (even with sunscreen) and enjoying not early enough churros, pineapple Dole whips, or the BEST popcorn on earth!

We both had never visited Disneyland before but had been to Disney World numerous times, plus I visited Disneyland Paris last year for my birthday.  One of my favorite things we did was view the World of Color show where they project Disney movie scenes on misting water.  It was so awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

We also got to try the "gray stuff" that comes from the movie Beauty and the Beast.  In the movie, when they are signing Be Our Guest, they say 'try the gray stuff, its delicious, don't believe me ask the dishes.'  Ours was a vanilla mousse with red velvet cake and a raspberry filling.  So yummy!

The final highlight of the trip was meeting Oscar Martinez.  He has been employed by Disneyland for 61 years and is the longest employed cast member they have.  He was there on opening day of Disneyland and even knew Walt Disney himself!

Overall we had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back again in January for my birthday with my best friend who's birthday is three days after mine (and who went with me to Disneyland Paris!)
